Introduction To Gig Rowing

For adults we run a 6 week learn to row programme to introduce new rowers to the club, the cost for this is £10 and would be deducted from your membership fee if you decide to join. Our 2023 introduction sessions were very successful but because of this we’re unlikely to be offering a novice course until Sept 2024. If you are happy to wait or if you are a Junior or an adult with experience of gig rowing please go ahead and complete the form and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible. For Juniors we run a free taster sessions, just select this option in the form that is linked below.

Gig rowing in Brixham has become so popular that we have limited places at the moment for ladies and are running a waiting list. We do have limited places for juniors and men’s crews. Please select the link below noting that you have gig rowing experience, we can then advise you if a crew position is available or put you on waiting list.

2024/2025 Membership fees

The annual membership fees noted below include all rowing sessions that you attend throughout the year. The only additional fees are a nominal contribution for rowing at regattas. This is to cover transport of gig’s and regatta entrance fee. Please note , any rower participating at a CPGA event will need to be registered with them, for which an annual fee would apply. The cost for the 2025 season is expected to be £30.00.

Adult membership for Aug 2024 to Jul 2025 is £135
Junior (under 18) membership is £65.00
Cox only is £10.00
Family group -2 (2 adults +1 Junior) is £295
Family group –1 Adult + 1 Child: £187. Additional Children: £52.

Please note, each family member will need to complete the appropriate membership form (adult + junior) 5

Renew membership

Membership forms have been created on Google Docs, the current versions of which are available in the files section on the SPOND application. For new members the links to membership forms will be issued when a crew position has been assigned to them.
